About

I am Costia La'Thell Harris III Founder and CEO of Sirrah Development Inc.

MicroMed is a software as a service system that provides patients with connectivty to their doctors over Cloud based technology.  The system allows for a range of six functions that track vital sign data and transmits that data in real time to the physician.  We developed the architecture for this system at Sirrah Development.  We felt that this system would greatly benefit people by saving them money and time.

The software system is based on SQL database utility which will allow the patent to load the software on their desktop or laptop. The system uses the peripherals connected by USB; the software system will monitor the patient’s blood pressure, blood count, blood level, pulse rate, heart rate, EKG readings, and blood sugar reading. These readings are taken by the software and a track record of each item is loaded into the database. Upon the doctors request each record is send to the doctor through an email component. The file is attached to the email and sent to the doctor as frequently as necessary. Just as the patient can prick there finger and test for blood sugar there will be a peripheral connected by USB port that can be used like the blood sugar meter and there will be one for the blood pressure feature, an arm band peripheral connected via USB and a connection of leads for the EKG function. No longer would the doctor have to take your word for your readings when he could pull them up himself. Before appointments you now have the ability to send all data to the doctor’s office before you get there even updated medications and lab work.

The project is needed to give physicians and their patients an option in the way their healthcare is administered. This web portal is being development to help cut cost for patients that have to see their doctors on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. It’s no fun going to see a physician, paying $40 a visit, missing a days’ work or half days work and buying gas to drive their and back just for them to take a blood sample. If we can take a drop of blood our sleeves and process that blood into a reading, send that data to the physician, he determines a need for the patient to be seen by the physician in his office or in a hospital and that represents a better use of healthcare insurance and the physician’s time.
